Menorah | 04
1 of 1 original creation - taking an already gorgeous Menorah and enhancing it with the magical art of Hamsas of Munkatch!
Hanukkah / Chanukkah is the Festival of Light - and this Menorah will function for your candle lighting purposes, but you can proudly display this gorgeous piece of art all year long if you desire!
The metal charms used in the artwork symbolize the Jewish people - as individuals, each Star of David (Jewish Star), Hamsa Hand, and Evil Eye has unique value and beauty - but when gathered as a whole they combine to become a special piece of artwork - like the Jewish people! The jewelry-worthy charms have the hanging loops left on to remind us of the importance to connect to one another and be kind to our fellow Jews and humans.
Charms for this piece have been sourced from around the globe - with many special piece coming from England and Israel. Mixed metals, 14k and 22k gold and 925 silver charms are all used in the artwork and protected in a clear resin coating.
As this piece is handmade and uses pieces unique to it, please expect some artisanal quality when received. The finishing is desired and intentional.
The front surface has Hamsas of Munkatch art applied, the back is left with original etched detail from artisans in India. Menorah form is made of iron; handcrafted by Fair Trade artisans.
In Judaism, there is a deep tradition of spiritual healing and purification, which can be conceptually linked to the properties attributed to Quartz in the gemstone world.
Quartz as the "Master Healer": In Jewish mysticism, particularly in Kabbalah, the concept of healing is deeply intertwined with the spiritual purification of the soul. The idea of healing, raising consciousness, and cleansing aligns with several key themes in Jewish thought, such as tikkun olam (repairing the world) and tshuva (repentance and return to purity).
While the connections to astrology and chakras are not inherently Jewish, there is a parallel in how Judaism sees the connection between the physical and spiritual realms. The idea of being in tune with one's soul and the world around them mirrors the way individuals in Judaism seek alignment with mindfulness.
Incorporating natural stones into the 2024 Menorah collection pays homage to these special traditions.
